The Millennial Movement – Changing the Face of Travel One Booking at a Time
Millennials. The love to hate age group known for their mostly contradictory behavior. The dichotomy between searching for instant-gratification through incessant need for change and the constant seeking of advice and guidance through any and all outlets seems to sum up where their heads are at. While many employers attribute these various “faults”, per-se, to a downfall in the workforce, the travel industry is only benefitting from them. Over the last few years, the travel and tourism industry has been on a steady upward trend, with millennials being a main driving factor for this growth. But what exactly is driving this new itch for adventure, and how can the travel industry keep up, continuing to curate and personalize trips that meet millennials’ needs?
The idea of swimming amongst penguins and hiking through lava beds during the same itinerary sounds disbelieving, yet on the Galapagos islands, this illusive concept can become a reality. Located off of Ecuador’s coast, these unique islands have become a sought-after travel destination for many reasons, particularly for its extensive views of remote and abundant beauty.
Although MSC Cruises is a part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company, their destinations are far from secluded to just this section of the world. With 12 ships currently and 2 more on the way just this year, the cruise line covers its fair share of Europe, extending down into the Caribbean and South America, and even reaching the most exotic of areas such as South Africa and Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sir Bani Yas. As a European Immersive experience, MSC offers much more to look forward to than just the destination ahead.

Now that relations with Cuba have allowed for Americans to freely travel here, the country is booming with a newfound sensation: tourism. Many commercial airlines have been jetting off to this country, offering direct flights from all over the country. Cruise lines have gotten on board with this trend as well, providing many coveted packages to travel the 90 miles from Miami Beach. It seems as though every day the regulations for visiting become leaner, but with such ambiguity behind the constant changes, what do you really need to know before touching down in Havana?
