Rendezvous: The Romantic Holiday
Rendezvous- the holiday of stolen time. Nestled in seven acres of lush tropical gardens on the two mile stretch of Malabar Beach, the couple can experience the intimate surroundings of this elegant all inclusive resort.
Rendezvous is located on the northwest coast of St. Lucia two miles from the Capital Castries and George FL Charles Airport (SLU) and one hour and fifteen minutes from Hewanorra International Airport (UVF)
The site of the resort was a once a vast coconut estate where over half century ago St. Lucian Planter Dennis Barnard built his family home on Malabar Beach. Shortly thereafter, the house was extended to include twenty bedrooms catering to the transient commercial traveller and was named the Malabar Beach Hotel. Over the years the hotel grew and in August 1983 the Bernard family took out franchise and the Malabar Beach Hotel became Couples St. Lucia an all-inclusive resort. In April 1983 the Couples franchise ended and the resort reverted to the direct leadership of Craig Bernard at which stage Rendezvous was introduced.
Rendezvous enjoys a stunning location. Walk along Malabar beach and enjoy two miles of soft white sand in which to sink you toes. Stop and listen to the Caribbean Sea gently ebb and flow, and listen to the sounds of the birds as they swoop and dive. The bar sits on the edge of the beach to settle down, sip your drink and watch the world pass you by.
At the centre of the resort is the 150-year-old giant Samaan tree: at night its huge branches are lined with tiny light that cast a romantic glow and you can hear the tree frogs trill a lullaby while you sip your drink on the deck by the sea
